Area of Service – Pre-Marital Agreements

PRE-MARITAL AGREEMENTS

Negotiating Pre-Marital Agreements (also known as Pre-Nuptial Agreements or just Pre-Nups) is one of the places where the Collaborative Process truly shines.  Collaborative offers couples the opportunity to sit down together with knowledgeable professionals to discuss their financial needs and concerns before marriage, and to create an agreement that lays a solid financial foundation for a strong and successful marriage which must include the economic success of both parties.   If one party has or will accumulate more assets than the other, how much do those assets need to be protected, and how can they be used to support the marriage?  Talking about finances is hard, but having a supportive Collaborative Team to help with these discussions is the best way to reach a consensus on the complex issues addressed in Pre-Marital agreements.
