Setting a Good Foundation

Getting off to a good start by going beyond the basics

Presented by: Natalie Goldberg, LCSW, LICSW, LCSW-C and Elizabeth Bookwalter, JD

Getting off to a good start with your collaborative team does not guarantee success, but it can lay a solid foundation for a strong and effective team — one that can better navigate the inevitable challenges and differences that are sure to arise. A good start includes an effective structure and essential team conversations that go beyond the typically talked about topics of sharing client information and the agenda for the first full team meeting.

In this program, we’ll explore important issues related to structuring initial team calls; sharing, listening and processing the clients’ narratives; and identifying and sharing what is needed for everyone on the team, not just the clients, to stay in a collaborative mindset and within the parameters of the process.

Lastly, we will share tips and suggestions for how to structure the initial call and provide specifics questions for you and your team to think about as you go into your next initial team call.

Please note, CPNV has moved virtual Member Meetings. Please contact the CPNV Administrator (admin@cpnova.com) with any questions you may have.
